Welcome to the Writings of Scott Winfield

AUTHOR’S BIOGRAPHY FOR SCOTT WINFIELD

Scott Winfield, born in Butte Montana on September 1, 1967 and raised in a small town outside of Butte called Whitehall.   While reading literary masterpieces such as the Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald or 20,000 leagues under the sea by Jules Verne, Scott pulled inspiration for his own form of writing.

He is not your normal stereotypical novelist, his strongest ability is to take historical facts and mix them with fantasy, conventional crime solving, and paranormal ingredients.  The majority of his characters are not your typical “Sherlock Holmes with a pipe in his mouth type detectives or larger than life characters.  They are characters that can evolve and make every effort to save innocent people from villains of the past, present and future.

In the past twenty years, he has always been fascinated with changing some of the world’s tragedies and turning them into peaceful solutions.   He wants to solve the unsolvable crime and dream the impossible dream.  With an Associate’s Degree in Technical Arts, Scott has the tools to make his writing crisp and attention grapping.  Mark Klaas of the Auburn Reporter has described Scott’s writing as a mixture of Clive Barker and the horror master himself Stephen King.  In fact, Mr. King has some strong competition in the genre of Horror/Suspense.

No one can classify or stereotype his writings into one genre.  The majority of the books written by Scott contain historical elements for all of the science fiction and fantasy lovers out there.  With bone chilling, attention-grabbing suspense, his writings would also serve as good suspense/horror novel. For the crime fighters out there, his books could serve as a good true crime and mystery novel.  He also has a strong talent to write erotica; Scott has the ability to portray his characters in an adult oriented, poetic, and artistic way.  Being a published poet at age 12 has provided him with that gift.

Scott currently resides in Auburn Washington with his wife Shirlie and his spoiled domestic tabby named “Sputnik” and his daughter Charity.

Club Lighthouse Publishing is going to release two of Scott’s books on their website.  The first book is called “Redemption” and the second book to be released within the same month is called “Deliverance” if you like horror/suspense these eBooks will be available on their website after June 2008.  T.L Davison of Clublighthouse Publishing has also created the cover art for the upcoming release of Redemption.

Club Lighthouse Publishing is proud to present “Redemption” by Scott Winfield

Grabbing his flashlight, Detective Mike Smith notices a woman slumped over.  He shines the light into her eyes and notices that she has no pupils.   Looking a little closer, he notices that an “X” carved in her forehead with a knife.  With blood dripping out her mouth, she raises a large knife and charges Mike.  In a moment of terror, this strange woman vanishes from his sight.

In Redemption, Scott Winfield explores many worlds in order to create such a literary masterpiece.  Redemption is a thrilling, mind boggling and unpredictable trip for those readers who want to follow the horror, pursuit and capture of serial killing big names, such as Jack the Ripper and Ted Bundy.  The challenge of this work is the chase, taking the readers for a usual ride.  The plot is laced with diverse details, mixing modern-day real-world police work with the surreal fictional accounts of the unknown.

Mike settles down at the cabin and decides to look around the property.  Using his camera, he notices a large X with circle around it drawn in blood.  He immediately notices two personages on each side of the X.  On one side of the X, there was a woman dressed scantily with her index finger pointed toward the X.  Her eyes shined of an eerie orange color.  She had the expression of horror on her face.  The woman on the other side had clothing on similar to that of a Quaker or Puritan.  A blinding white light shined from her eyes as she pointed at the X with an expression of peace.  Capturing this astounding sight with his camera, Mike realized that seeing this foretold of things to come.

Blurb From Deliverance....

Aileen found herself deep in a forest.  She looked around trying to get her bearing.  Where was she?  What made her come to this forest?  Being very cautious, she pulled out a small flashlight to see in the dark.  Looking over to her right, she noticed two glowing eyes that were staring right at her.  Looking around, she found some dry firewood and started a fire to keep warm.  Strange sounds were making themselves known to her. With her eyes glued on the two glowing eyes, she lit a smoke to calm her tattered nerves.  In a split second, she felt the presence of someone behind her.  The hairs on the back of her neck stood up as she slowly turned around. A man dressed in a black robe stared at her in silence.   The X was a shiny glowing yellow color on his robe.  He had two daggers, one in each hand.  As Aileen turned around, she fell to the ground, fearful for her life.  Aileen could see that this strange being had golden gills, which told her that he could breathe under water.  This fascinated Aileen and the feelings of fear soon left her mind.  After getting up, she lit another cigarette and sat down on a nearby log.  They both studied each other waiting for one of them to strike up a conversation.  The fire crackled as he walked closer to her. In a very strange way, Aileen trusted this strange man. The feelings of being nervous ceased.  She reached out to grab his hand to see if he was real.  He reached out to her and brought her closer to him. After embracing her, he drew both of the daggers and stuck them in each of her ears. Blood shot out and drew Aileen to her knees.  In a split second, Jack shook her to wake her up.

All of this wouldn't have been accomplished without the help of
